This Web site is maintained by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. It includes links to nine separate databases, which contain social data on a variety of topics related to urban life. - IP
IP is a free electronic newsletter that began in February of 2002 and is sponsored by Institute for the Advancement of Social Work Research, the Society for Social Work and Research and WWWRSW (see link below). - Public Agenda Online
An excellent source for public opinion and policy analysis on today's hottest topics: abortion, welfare, crime, race, drugs, etc. Each issue guide provides succinct introductions to a range of policy alternatives to address the issue, a synthesis of public opinion surveys, essential facts, and digests of recent developments. - Social Work and Social Services Jobs Online
This database from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University lists jobs by geographic location and field of interest. Links to other employment sources are also included. - SWAN (Social Work Access Network)
As evidenced by thousands of hits per month, SWAN has become the site of choice for professionals, educators, and students searching the web for resources related to social work. SWAN was acquired in 1995 from its creator, Peter Thomas. It is now owned, administered, and maintained by the College of Social Work at the University of South Carolina. - Urban Information Center

WWWRSW has been in operation since 1994 and is jointly sponsored by New York University's Ehrenkranz School of Social Work and the Division of Social Work and Behavioral Science, Mount Sinai School of Medicine. This site.has been substantially upgraded and currently contains 73,690 links. The majority of these links are to the “grey literature” - full text scientific, technical and policy reports. In addition, WWWRSW contains links to 2230 scholarly journals and newsletters, of which, 140 are to sites that provide full text articles. A wide range of links to relevant government agencies, educational institutions and professional organizations are also included. WWWRSW is updated daily. - Regulatory Barriers Clearinghouse

To provide concrete guidance to communities, policy leaders, and individuals engaged in activities to end violence against women, the National Advisory Council on Violence Against Women developed the Toolkit To End Violence Against Women. The recommendations contained in the Toolkit were reviewed by numerous experts in the fields of sexual assault, domestic violence, and stalking.
